Thursday - VBS

What a day! 

VBS completed and there's nothing that can describe working with friends, new and old. 
I watched my J1 & L grow as team players - that can be difficult for independent people who still need people 😂. 

J2 had color guard camp and loved it! 

Scott is alright. He had energy today. Smoked pork chops, help us with home projects and shaved his hair off. He has lost a lot in the past 48 hours. Chemo is crazy.

Last treatment!  Scott's attempting to grow out what hair is left. It's dark, grey and straight. 🤣 Thanks to who dropped gift cards in my bag at church (Ninja!). 3 weeks later...

  In a sweet turn of events....  The scheduler was new to us.... and she couldn't find an appointment on a Monday for Scott... or Tuesday, so she schedules him for a Wednesday. Which meant he was able to enjoy Canadian Thanksgiving - and we did it well! While the Butter Tarts were not able to make the dessert table, we had enough. Fresh Irish Apple Crumble, Tiramisu, Pumpkin Pie and Nanaimo Style Alabama Bars (Thank you Emma, Corner Gas). It was a great meal he could taste.  Scott has 1 more Treatment and he is counting the days. He rests a lot. Sunday is a great example. He may or may not sleep Saturday Night. He will go to church and then eat lunch. By 1pm he's ready to sleep 3+ hours.  Chemo brain is a real thing and will be grateful for it to go away. In other news, this is time together that we would have never taken for ourselves.
