Happy Anniversary & Chemo Monday

Scott & I celebrate 18 years old marriage. Yay!

Scott has been sleeping a lot for the past weeks. The bug he caught knocked it out of him. They gave him a shot to increase white blood cell count which appears to have lead to a week of interesting symptoms 2 weeks out. Last weekend he had a trip to the ER. Fever, heart racing, pain in the chest and lower back, racing heart rate. Everything seems to link back to the shot for increasing white blood cells. The more you know! Scott's doing much better! 

Another dose of chemo! 

Kids start school so we are working on getting ready and back into routine. 

We truly appreciate y'all caring for us!

Last treatment!  Scott's attempting to grow out what hair is left. It's dark, grey and straight. 🤣 Thanks to who dropped gift cards in my bag at church (Ninja!). 3 weeks later...

  In a sweet turn of events....  The scheduler was new to us.... and she couldn't find an appointment on a Monday for Scott... or Tuesday, so she schedules him for a Wednesday. Which meant he was able to enjoy Canadian Thanksgiving - and we did it well! While the Butter Tarts were not able to make the dessert table, we had enough. Fresh Irish Apple Crumble, Tiramisu, Pumpkin Pie and Nanaimo Style Alabama Bars (Thank you Emma, Corner Gas). It was a great meal he could taste.  Scott has 1 more Treatment and he is counting the days. He rests a lot. Sunday is a great example. He may or may not sleep Saturday Night. He will go to church and then eat lunch. By 1pm he's ready to sleep 3+ hours.  Chemo brain is a real thing and will be grateful for it to go away. In other news, this is time together that we would have never taken for ourselves.
